Good Evening Lost Patrol...  my name is Ross Jacobs and I am your new Webmaster.  My brother in law is Harold Schrage and I'm happy to be here to assist in getting the word out and keeping everybody updated.  I'm very happy to be here and I want to thank everybody for your service.

It will likely take a couple weeks to get up to speed and make everything current, but rest assured Lost Patrol, you are in good hands.

If anybody has something that you need me to post, you can find me at rossj20000@gmail.com.

With Kindest Regards,

Ross Jacobs

I'm confident he'll keep thing together far better than I have this year.

Leonard “Pete” Duncan, 73, Vietnam, US Army, BNC, FLO, 17 April 2019

The family of Leonard “Pete” Duncan has invited the Patriot Guard Riders and Vietnam Veterans of America and friends to join them in honoring their hero at his committal at Bakersfield National Cemetery.

Pete served in the Army for two years, 1966-67. The second year was served in Vietnam as a military policeman. He was honorably discharged as a SPC4.

Our hero returned to civilian life with the hopes of a career in law enforcement. Unfortunately, due to a hearing loss caused by the ravages of war, he was not medically qualified to become a sworn officer. He did serve in that field for 22 years as a corrections officer for the LASD.

Pete loved weaponry and was known by his friends to be an expert on firearms old and modern. He enjoyed jewelry making. He also served his fellow Vietnam Veterans as 1st Vice President of Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 355, “The Lost Patrol”.

Sadly, our hero lost his battle with heart disease at the end of 2018.

Pete is survived by his wife, Loretta, who he met in the  7th grade. He declared that he would marry her whilst still in middle school. Pete is also survived by their son, Robert.

Please join his family and friends to honor him at BNC when it’s in full bloom, this Wednesday.
